The domestication of the horse occurred six thousand years ago at approximately the same time as the rise of patriarchy and the invention of war. Is there a link between the simultaneous loss of the freedom of women and horses? What are the connections between women and equine archetypes? How is it that an increasing number of girls and women are attracted to horses and participate in horse-related activities?
